Homestay sevice is provided to an international student who mostly attend a private day school in the US or both private day and public schools in Canada. The student usually stays with homestay host family throughout the school year unless he/she transfers to other schools located in different regions. Basically homestay host will become the guardian of the student. during the period of his/her school. Below is the guideline that host needs to be aware of and follow.

Host provides student a single room with basic furniture set such as desk, chair, desk light, bed, closet, bedclothes. |

Host provides breakfast and dinner during weekdays and three meals during weekend. If the host is not able to get together on meal time, host should prepare the meal ready in advance. |

|
Each host family member 18 and over shall be asked to fill out a confidential background form to ensure the safe homestay environment. |
| |
|
Host welcomes the student as a new family member, not as a someone who rents a room. Therefore host shall treat the student as if host's child. |
| |
|
Host provides ride to/from school during weekdays. Student must pre-schedule with host for other rides such as extra curriculum, activities and shopping, etc unless sudden situation. |
| |
|
Host should accompany the student to hospital in any medical emergency situation. |
| |
|
Host may expect regional agent's visit to host house once a month and phone conversation once a month. ( Managed Care Service only) |

|
Host house should be high-speed internet ready. Host shall set a house rule to manage student's usage of internet. |
| |
|
Host should contact either Child Homestay or parent periodical basis to keep updated about the student's shool life, performance. |

Guardian Only sevice is provided to international students who attend mostly private boarding schools. As the guardian of the student.

Guardian Basic |
| |
|
Guardian takes the role of student's parent for all school matters as if the student is guardian's child. |
| |
|
Guardian needs to frequently communicate with student's parent to convey school matters and to discuss student's school life. Thus guardian is recommended to visit the student in school minimum twice a month. |

|
Guardian must accompany the student when emergency situation. |
| |
|
Guardian may be asked to pick up student's parent at the airport. (Usually once a year) |
| |
|
Guardian may be requested to give a tour to the school that student will attend as the student is new to the school.
