Child Homestay has been providing homestay placement service to international students. Over 50,000 international students whose grades range between 5th and 12t, come to United States or Canada every year either to experience short-term academic program or to fulfill their school career to enter college.
International students mostly attend student visa-eligible private schools, since they are not allowed to attend public schools unless the public schools issue student visa document. To achieve their new school career in such private schools, students definitely need to find suitable homestay families to live with, who most of cases become the student's guardians for school matters in behalf of their parents. The students may need rides to and from school unless the school offer school bus service and may need extra rides for some other activities.
In year 2007 , the number of Korean students of 1st to 12th grade, exceeded 30,000 and the number is expected to reach nearly 40,000 in 2008.
Child Homestay is in partnership with many student agencies in Korea to match their students¡¯ needs. Child Homestay currently connects only Korean students to host members, but near future our service will be also open to Chinese, Taiwanese and Japanese students.
Child Homestay always welcome host families who are friendly, open-minded, understanding, responsible to the student from different culture.
